Karen L KayeKaren L. Kaye, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Private Practice 22 years, Masters of Science: Family Therapy, University of Maryland, 1983

Columnist, Natural Awakenings and Today's Parent Love addiction and codependence have been specialties in my work with individuals and couples for 22 years of private practice. I have both personal and professional experience in this area.

I believe love addiction is learned in childhood. Children mimic their role model's behavior based on how they are treated; and how their role models treat each other. Children make important decisions at a very early age, like "Am I lovable?" and "Who do I need to be in order to get love?" People learn to do "anything for love." Persons leave childhood with many unmet needs that are taken into adulthood. Love addicts have certain negative patterns that they continuously repeat. I address these issues in my practice by identifying patterns inside the mind through the messages that were given. The conclusion I have come to is that self love is the antidote to love addiction.

in-person, call me at (954) 384-1217. Please leave

Ellen BrazerRev. Ann Kurtzman - Certified Stress Management Consultant, Hypnotist and NLP Practitioner Serenity’s Path, Stress Management-Hypnosis-NLP-Meditation Empowering people to achieve their personal, professional, recovery and athletic goals
Don’t Just Manage Your StressGET YOUR LIFE BACK!

I began my Hypnotherapy training because I was at an impasse in my life. I was stuck. I’d been involved with the “12 Step Community” for many years. I knew the tools. And I was still stuck. I was curious. I’d had a wonderful experience with hypnosis for math anxiety when I was in college and, well, I was curious to learn if I too could learn to help others in the same way I was helped. Most of what I learned was unbelievable and sounded much too simple. How could it be that the mind is this easily directed to heal and change, and yet people remain so stuck and sick? I completed my first training, ventured into the hypnosis profession, became certified in Stress Management Consultation and NLP and found my passion. Without a doubt, this is what I love to do. What I feel I'm meant to do. Helping people realize their potential, feel good about who they are and teaching them how to eliminate the negative effects of stress through the practice of self-hypnosis and meditation is priceless. It is true what they say... find something you love to do, and you will never work a day in your life. I teach stress management strategies not only as a means of living a happier life, but also as a way of preventing relapse. By teaching financial abundance to others, I inspire them to step into their worthiness, their joy... and accept that they deserve abundance. You may want to discover for yourself what you can accomplish when you release fear, limitations, and learn to manifest abundance. Don't miss the boat. Figure it out now, what are you waiting for?

This profession is challenging, exciting, heartbreaking and fulfilling. It takes creativity, courage, and compassion. I learn more and more about these qualities every day. One of the most important things I have learned is about what we all have in common. Our joys, our sorrows, our fears, our yearnings and our deepest needs... we all share a common thread. We often get side-tracked, angry, bitter and resentful in our pursuit of happiness. All we want is to be happy, and in the pursuit we sometimes get farther from what we want. And then we become ill. Our body cannot hold all of this negative and unresolved emotion, and it shows up in a physical way, it has to.

There is a way to get your life back and be happy again. This does not mean we can be serene every moment. Life is challenging and in meeting our challenges we are able to grow. The serenity is in the realization that we can choose to fully embrace the lessons, appreciate who we are becoming in our growth and feel proud of our ability to rise again when we fall.

Cherish your experiences... they make you who you are. Value the lessons life gives you and know that at every moment in your life, you were always doing the very best you could. As you learned more, you did better. Looking back on your memories, knowing what you know now, you would have done things differently. BUT at the time, with the upbringing and the knowledge and wisdom at that time, you did the very best you could. Guilt serves no purpose. Let go and remind yourself that you embrace your lessons and learnings, and gratefully and willingly put them in the past.
Today is your day. Get your life back! Join me on Serenity’s Path!
Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits!
